Hey, I'm pretty new to fishing. I haven't gone since I was in elementary or middle school and I'm looking to get a spinning setup again.
I'm looking at getting a 6'6" Ugly Stik GX2 Medium rod with a Daiwa Regal LT 1000. Would those pair nicely together? I didn't want to go too cheap on the reel. I wasn't sure if it would be better to get the 1000 or the 2500 though.
I'm in southwest Montana and I mainly want to fish for crappie and trout, maybe some bass, in the lakes and rivers around where i live.
