I was super hyped to finally get a kayak. Unfortunately it arrived today dented, with multiple cracks throughout the sides and bottom. Lifetime tamarack pro from Walmart. $418 base price, about $500 after taxes and shipping. Anyone know of any good kayaks under this price range with the same stuff? Or if it goes under any other names. I haven’t found the “quest” brand equivalent yet.

I bought this exact kayak under a slightly different model name from my local tractor upply. Was able to pick it up and it’s been a great boat for thr last two years.

    Edit: spelling

  2. That’s a busted boat. Demand replacement and make up airline tickets to kayak in some country they better not make you miss your trip. Sue them for $10,000,000.

Have had multiple Lifetimes and they are very rugged for the price. Wouldn’t turn away just because of poor handling by WalMart

For $500 youre honestly better off looking on the used market. There is usually an Ascend, Crescent, or something with a bit beefier plastic and more comfortable for that price.
