Go to the Kittery Trading Post over the border in Maine to get a set up. It’s about 15 minutes away. If you wanna do a charter, Kodiak charters will take you out, I think they hail out of the Wentworth marina which is max maybe 10 mins away and they have gear. Captain Mike is awesome and fishes for bluefin which is something you want to do, whether you realize it or not. Nothing like pulling a few hundred pound fish on deck. If you want cod or mackerel, he’ll do that too.

As a kid I used to fish off the pier at fort foster. Even there it’s easy to use clams or marine worms to catch a bunch of pollock flounder or mackerel. I bet having those things hang out on the bottom or suspended will get you some fish. I’m sure theres other cool stuff to catch that others will know about.
