Just started to get into trout fishing got myself some waders, boots, and a couple mepps and smaller rooster tails. I have walked (upstream and down) a few of my waterways I found on the DNR, and they are marked stocked but I've had no luck. The water has been a little high and it's been real warm. Is it possible to fish with a flip top or should I get a fly reel? Ive read that the line you use can be an issue what is the best type of line for trout? Any help or recommendations appreciated.
