I would hardly call them fish and by “caught on rhe fly rod” i mean I dangled the fly in the shallow. I can’t understand why when i try to cast my final cast just ends with the line in a ball. And also all of my flys do not float they just sink like a rock

When it comes to casting, practice my friend. Additionally, be sure you’re waiting for the line to fully extend on the back cast. The ball you’re talking about is often from not waiting long enough before beginning your forward cast. Also, it looks like these are subsurface, or wet flies. If so, they’re designed to sink.
