So my birthday happens to be around the time the king salmon head up the river to spawn in my home town. I was looking to get a new rod and reel to match that, wouldn't mind spending 250 300 on something that could be a little nice since I'm use to Walmart special stuff.
I'm not sure if medium heavy would be the right choice or medium. I prefer to use braided line, if you have a recommendation for that I would appreciate it.
I do happen to exclusively use spinning reels. Never did really like bait casters.
I do happen to have an assortment of lures, if you happen to know some stuff that might work I would love to hear it.
