You slaughtered it! Awesome fish you got there! Also, good job handling the sharks. That hook removal pic is solid execution! Most people won’t put their fingers that close to the business, but you got the right technique.

Great catch! Is this Louisiana? Also, don’t lift the gar’s head so high when handling, it can damage their brain stem or gills if it’s a really heavy one. Try to keep it in the water and lift it in a straight horizontal line like you’re landing a tarpon
