I have probably caught 5000 bass in my life or more. I have never seen a fish this dark, nonetheless from a 5 foot deep corporate pond that gets plenty of sun
The bass from my local pond are really dark like that to match the plant cover better sp its harder to see them. Now the ones from the local lake i fish are pale because the vast majority of cover is clay, rocks, and some downed tree so they need to match that to blend in. It’s kinda like camo for fish
