I stayed at an air bnb in north central Minnesota recently with my wife, kids and parents. Really nice place with a dock that I didn't expect much from. So many weeds.
As soon as I started casting off the dock it was apparent I either need to go super weedless or topwater.
Crushed one bigger than the photo 5 minutes in on a skirtless buzzbait with a paddle tail trailer. My mom was freaking out lol it was hilarious. I had to run to town for a scale after seeing there were good sized fish in there. That first one was probably 4+.
This one was 3.21 on the buzzbait again in some early morning drizzle after a decent thunderstorm overnight.
Caught a handful of 1-2 pounders and a couple dinks. Mostly on the buzzbait, senkos and power worms. Sprinkled in a couple 24" range Pike and one that stole my last buzzbait smh. My son crushed the gills and sunfish. Wife even caught a crappie all off the dock. It was a great couple of days.
