Hello 👋. I finally bought a Stradic, 4000. My go to is a Saragosa 8000HG for the big fish here. But my question is. I'm going to a buddy's fishing park and fishing his back lakes and canals. He has no idea what is in them, except a few months back we got a good size silver arowana and a 35lb arapaima.
He told me there could be anything from 80lb mekong to 40+lb gar, along with arapaima, arowana and who knows what else.
Am I crazy to even try the Stradic?
The two set ups im bringing are
1. Saragosa 8000 with 60lb braid and my 6ft shimano beastmaster rod.
2. Stradic 4000 with 45lb braid and some Asian brand rod but it's a medium heavy 7ft Rd.
Oh PS I live in Thailand haha.
