Is this little guy a Bass?

It's been over a decade since I've been fishing and grew up fishing creeks and rivers in the Eastern Sierras with spinners (always was a Panther Martin or a Super Duper because of my dad's preference). 98% of the fish I've caught are trout… rainbow primarily with a golden in there. I'm just learning how to rig up a running sinker, a Texas rig, or bobber rigs, in general.

My area has nothing but lakes and I've finally caught my first fish of the season, first in a lake, and possibly first bass today? Doesn't seem like a trout to me, had a big mouth, but I'm really not sure. Thanks from a guy in his mid-30s really getting back into fishing.
