Going to Colorado in a week. Anything missing that you would recommend?

  1. There are many rivers in CO that fish very differently. If you’re fishing a freestone you’re on the right track for the most part. If you’re fishing a tailwater, you need more nymphs and emergers.
Also- I’m not saying you’re not an expert, but going out for a day of fly fishing with one of each type of fly is going to seem like a bad idea when that big lunker (or tree) snaps off the only one you’ve got. Happens to the best of us! I always bring at least a few of every pattern I expect to fish other than streamers I’m fishing on super heavy tippet.

  2. Chubbies, rubber legs, and top secrets should get you into fish some fish. Maybe throw in a blowtorch as well.
