Yes you will get wind knots. Cut them back when they tangle up until they stop happening. Then your spool will have the perfect and optimal amount of line. You want as much as you can fit on there without it causing wind knots and this is the best way to do it when you’ve got line on there already. You could speed the process up slightly by trimming back around 20 yards or so but just going off looking at this thing, you’ll probably get a few wind knots when the wind picks up
