Well… Not many freshwater fish are quite as famous for their pound for pound fighting strength as the barbel. So to deal with strong fish, flooded rivers and the inevitable surprise carp I put together these setups. The rods are 12 ft 1.75 lb test curve drennan specialist barbel rods which seem to be on the beefy side for 1.75 lb test curve rods, paired up with the smaller version of the good old shimano ultegra. Big fish require strong line aswell so the reels have been spooled up with 12 lb stroft abr monofilament. I can't wait to put these to the test.
