A red lump has appeared on my betta fish!! It has weird hairs on it and from closer inspection they look more like detritus worms… I'm so confused and worried what it could be and from looking on Google it looks nothing like the tumors they can get… HELP

I think your fish has Camallanus worms.
Crosscheck your fish’s situation with pictures of fish with Camallanus infections.
Omg that poor fish looks like he’s going through it. That face though 😭
Intrnal parasites of some kind. You’ll have to treat it asap and you’ll probably have to treat his tank too.
