When I first decided to try out lure fishing I bought this 4000 size daiwa caldia lt cxh. I wanted to use it for zander jigging and light pike fishing. Unfortunately at the time I didn't pay attention to the retrieve speed. This thing retrieves almost a metre per turn. This thing has collected dust on my shelf for 2 years because of it. What techniques would it be useful for?

vertical jigging on offshore
Speed jigging? Or you could still use it for vertical jigging, you’d just have to slow it down a little bit.
I’m a freshwater guy in Texas, so I probably can’t give you much relevant advice. Nice reel though, hope you find some use for it.
Bottom or carp fishing, or if lures, maybe trolling
