So about a year ago I bought a hook reveal 7 tripleshot and it immediately had a lot of issues like weird readings and random warnings and not showing fish, I get a new transducer and that didn’t fix the issue so I’m sent a whole new package which works for about 10 sessions before getting really poor readings on the sonar.
So i return this second unit and decide to go for the eagle series since it’s the updated version and after 2 sessions the exact thing happened again, see picture.
I’m at a loss of what this is or why it happens in the first place, the last 2 times we were standing still unhooking fish and when we looked at the screen it looked like this.
Some people have said that it’s the sensitivity but it’s set to auto mode and changing the sensitivity or going into manual mode just makes it into a mess.
Restarting the unit does nothing nor does resetting it. There is almost no way the transducer could have been out of the water so it would have taken damage where it’s mounted, we even tried rocking the boat to see if it would come out of the water which it didn’t.
At this point I’m kinda desperate for answers, are these just really bad in terms of quality? I can’t see what we would be doing wrong.
