I’ll be moving this 30 litre/8 gallon tank to another room soon to go on a new stand, as the one it’s on is starting to bow a little bit and it’s concerning me. I really would rather not disturb the sand and uproot all the plants. Since the tank is only moving about 10 meters in distance, is there any safe way to leave the sand/plants/decor in the tank and move it with them inside? I would also drain about 95% of the water, just enough so any remaining shrimplets won’t die. Please let me know if this sounds possible.

I drained my tank about 95% placed it on a big cutting board in the front seat of my truck and drove ~7 hours before refilling it and it was totally fine

Not saying this is absolutely the right method but I’d think you should be ok moving it to another room. You might not even need to drain it that much to move a smaller distance

  2. drain the tank and move and refill carefull and done. I’ve done that to where people buying tanks from me beg me to remove the water and leave the tank as is.

  3. drain as much water and ask some stronger friends to lift the whole stand next to your new stand

  4. Take the water out, put fish in buckets, move the tank, and fill the tank back up with that water. The plants and everything will be perfectly fine.

  5. Have you found it difficult to clean that little underground dome? I’m considering one for a shrimp tank
