Hey y’all, question about rod value. Currently trying to sell/trade an unused 10’ 3wt orvis Clearwater combo and had someone offer me a lightly fished early 90’s Thompson & Thompson xl907t 9’ 7wt as a trade (pics below). The clearwater combo runs about $420 brand new with shipping, i was asking $325 for it. Not sure what the value of the T&T is though
My concern is that while the T&T is a very nice rod, I’m worried about chucking streamers with a ~30 year old graphite rod and possible snapping the tip. Is this a trade that anyone familiar with older T&T rods would entertain, or could anyone possibly provide me with some info on what the T&T would be worth? Also considering just keeping the 3wt too. Help!

I’d take the T&T over a Clearwater any day.
I paid $330 for a brand new 8wt Clearwater kit (+reel, line, and case) about a year ago. I’m not sure I could get a T&T for that much without a reel, line, and case.
I’m taking the T&T every day of the week.
