Apologies if this isn't the right sub but I'm a bit desperate!
At work today I was inspecting a property where the occupants had moved out and left the country. They've left this poor lil guy behind.
I have no knowledge about fish and I'm taking this guy home.
Could anyone please identify it and advise on environment and care?

I can’t really tell. Can you take a better pick of its side view?
From that angle it could be a convict cichlid, although doesn’t seem to be in great shape right now. Feel free to search it up and compare
