In a last ditch effort I tied on a mini meatwhistle under my dorsey and resulted in a nice fish. I had one hole left before the trail to my car and didn’t expect any fish to want this trashy looking fly (the one I caught it on was an orange brown color). It’s a stocker of course but eh that’s fine. These I actually tied up for bass but trout apparently really like them too.
Also anyone know how to keep your line behind the indicator from sinking? I’ve been applying floatant but that wears off pretty quickly.
