What kind of fish is this?

Saw a bunch of these in a Delaware pond. I tried catching them but they weren’t going for any lures and they would spook before I could grab them with the net. They were black and looked like they were eating stuff off the surface like a carp, I’ve just never seen a carp do something like this. Any help is appreciated 🤙
