Abu 5000 and ugly stik 6'6" line 8-20 lb Found the reel in the basement and spiffed it up. 20 lb mono a good bet?? Very new to fishing. Is the reel worth anything, getting mixed opinions from friends and fam. Going for small to midsize catfish. Thanks!!

For catfish it’ll work great. You really don’t need much for small catfish. Just as long as you can cast a baitcaster it should be fine
