Taking the kiddos to a very basic, not so rocky or grassy fishing pier on the intracoastal her in South Florida. They mostly do bluegill bobber fishing and want them to be more active with their dinky kiddo poles.

I was thinking some small inline spinners to catch smaller bait fish that we can sacrifice to the larger pole I typically catch dinner with.

I am wondering if anyone has some insight on some other good kid lure or fishing styles that would work for the pier.

  1. Give em some Pompano and fish finder rigs with some frozen skramp

    Maybe a popping cork rig.

You can find at Walmart some micro crankbait from creme for 1 dollar or so. You can catch bluegill or crappie. For the price if they get snagged… You can also find some small jig head with a curly tail. Again for crappie and bluegill. I think it’s less than 2$ for a pack of 5. With a moving bait they would be more active than a worm and bobber.
