For me, I don’t really like them though I do still have them in one of my boxes. That said, they do work I’ve caught bass on them before and usually use them as “here try this” lures to others. I just feel there are better alternatives in the world of soft plastics or different soft swim baits. My favorite for the past few years has gotta be a Huddleston Weedless grass minnow.

I have these too. I haven’t had much luck either though I am also a beginner fisher

They’re a fine way to dip your toe in the world of soft plastic swimbaits without having to learn how to rig them. Retrieve them in a stop and go motion, getting them moving enough to make the tail kick, then letting the weight sink them down again so you can repeat. If you like the way they fish, there are better ways to get this same effect with more colors and sizes and tail types rigged on swimbait hooks.
