My dad caught this crazy looking carp. Genetic mutation or some kind of hybrid?

    Mirror carp – it’s a genetic mutation that causes scales to grow erratically.

    Pretty cool factoid though, no mirror carp will ever have the same pattern. Every mirror truly is a one of a kind fish!

    This MAY be Cyprinus carpio carpio aka “mirror carp”, but since I’ve never caught one myself, it’s pretty much an educated guess, just judging from the overall look of the fish. Chances of my guess being correct are better if you’re in Europe…
