Did some consumer testing last year and in case you were wondering, a 30kg (60ish lbs) kayak dropped on a Fuego LT will absolutely smash the reel. Is there any point in trying to fix this? If so: with what? Or is this now a donor reel to the Fuego I went and bought the day after?

You could try to fix it with epoxy and maybe reinforcing it with some stiff wire. I wouldn’t trust it to hold up to large fish though. You could also get a replacement part from Daiwa (Part 52, “Body”: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0384/6645/3641/files/FGLT2500D_2500D-XH_3000-4000D-C.pdf) but that would basically require you to rebuild the reel on the new frame, as that’s a pretty integral part of the whole reel
Might be a cool paper weight but repairing it will not bring it back to original strength.
Fuegos already have a bit of flex.
