Just pick up this rod today it’s an ugly stick intercostal 7 foot. I am wanting to throw a Shimano SLX DC on it. Is this rod compatible or do I need a different rod.
Should be fine as long as it’s a casting rod, if it’s a spinning rod you’ll want to use a different reel or pick up a different rod. It would be helpful to have a photo of the fishing rod or at least some basic info about the make/model, hard to give you much advice without knowing anything.
