We just moved to Alabama (originally from Colorado) and my son has been BEGGING me to go fishing. I have been working 6 days a week, 10 hour days since we got here 12 days ago.
Today, we were out and about and I had some gear in the trunk. He found a tiny and I mean tiny little creek that I can spit across. Tied on a leech and within 30 seconds he pulled this thing out. I busted up laughing and said “Welcome to the South I suppose.” For the record, we do have a pond on our property, but we literally just stocked it with 30k fingerlings and 6-8” bass. The catfish and catchable bass come in a couple of weeks when the fun will begin.
