I have had tons of luck with June bug for both Zman TRDs and 2 inch grubs. All the fish I caught on soft plastics have been on a June bug plastic. I tried green pumpkin and had no luck for 3 days straight possibly because of the 1/5 oz jig head? Then the 4th day I used junebug on a 1/32 oz jig head and caught a 9” blue gill, 10 inch bass, 19” pickerel and a 23” pickerel. Also in the past and even now I keep catching fish in a creek near me with June bug.
I would like some new colors that actually work too and I need more jig heads since I lost all of them. Any recommendations would be great!

You have one of the best colors IMO. They make some really good shad colors and some two tones depending on your area and bait species. I really like smoky shad. I also take the 6” z man ticklerz and trim to whatever size I want. I like to run 3.5” but love the little tails. The smaller the bait the more small fish you’ll catch but big ones will eat too. Along with that reaction tackle on Amazon has some really sweet weedless ned rig stuff, I have to go weedless where I’m at. Good luck man.

  2. Short answer, the ones the fish are eating. Not as short answer, is what you have confidence in. If you have confidence in it your more apt to fish it longer and with greater efficiency/effectiveness than a color your not too keen on. You give me a green pumpkin turd worm and ill fish it all day as compared to some shad colored. For me thats green pumpkin, bold bluegill, morning dawn, papa midnight(straight black), and PB&J. I’ve got all the colors of the rainbow, those are just a few of my favorites.
