I am on the Mississippi gulf coast for work and am looking to try fishing from the piers. Never really fished before.
I’ve talked with people in the area and they’ve all recommended the same setup to catch red drum, speckled trout, flounder, and just about anything else in the area: live shrimp on a popping cork.
After reading articles and watching youtube videos about what that was and how to rig it, I came up with this cart.
Does r/FishingForBeginners agree with the recommendation? What is my cart missing, what don’t I need, and/or what should I change?
