Not an expert, but the light halos around the spots makes me think Brown trout.

Brown trout all day! Cool fish.
Brook trout are dark with light spots that are irregular in shape. They are actually in the char family, not a true trout. Chars have darker bodies with light spots. Trout have lighter bodies with dark spots.

It’s a brown transitioning from young (the dark oval patches) to adult (the beautiful spots).
