Hi everyone, as you can read I am a first time betta owner!! I consulted my friend who has worked at Petco for a long time and did a lot of my own research and here's my new son Gilbert!! Not a full tank shot BUT he has a sponge filter, heater, 10G tank and no live plants yet but plenty of fakes, I am hoping to do that in the future. Just wanted to greet y'all as I get into the betta world

Make sure the plants aren’t sharp and there is some room for your betta to anchor to as they sleep. They like to sit near the surface to get air every so often and need the resting spots. Beautiful betta.
