I have had my curado for less than a year, and I have recently been having problems with the reel not holding tension even with my drag set all the way up. I have had this happen 3-4 times now and I always try and take it apart and clean it and that usually does the trick for a week or so and then I’m back to the same problem of the reel not holding enough tension to reel the line in. Anyone had this happen on the same model or a different baitcaster reel?

Perhaps what you need is new drag washers?
Is the spool spinning when you pull, or is the line slipping?
Your line is probably slipping
