I've had this tank (10gal)set up with plants and snails plus nerite and a few cherry shrimp for now and it is fully cycled but I don't know if I should go full send on plants as my new betta(smock) is settling in. I worry my tank is too sparsely planted. Please be honest lol.

It is. And the plants inside are rather plant-corpses. You have soil right?
Yea, I’d grab a lot more plants and a few good hides. Especially if there’s shrimp with your beta, they’ll have nowhere to hide from a predator. More plants are your friend.
