Well… Many times I've decided against bringing an umbrella, a bivvy or something similar on mu fishing trips and deeply regretted it. So I ended up buying this drennan specialist quiver rod bag. The large compartment in the centre fits a 50 inch umbrella with a ground pole and some pockets on the other side can fit stuff like bank sticks, net handles, weighing slings or even a small tripod. There's 2 straps on the outside to attach 2 rods (my 12 ft pike rods in this picture but it should work well with any rod that's 10+ ft long). It wasn't even that expensive (around 50 quid because I had to order it from Wales). I highly recommend this thing.
