I generally don't do this but eh, whatever. Other people contribute.
My friend who has fished about 3 times in the "lake" where we grew up since turning 13 (30+ now) followed me out for some Perch-fishing.
It's a very small lake and I have at least 500 pikes on my track record once I reached adulthood in that "pond" there and that's disregarding the 10.3Kg we got at age 15.
My record is about 4kg 80 cm there 😄 Larger on other lakes though.
He was sporting my flimsy 7-21g Westin spinning rod using a #1 hook Abu-reflex spinner. Well, he done caught a nice pike, luckily I netted it just before the hooks gave way.
She looks smaller in picture than IRL, (should have long-armed her) 😏 Didn't weigh her and I didn't measure her but guesstimates are 95~cm and 6-7KG just wanted her to get back in the water ASAP. They are also kinda skinny during summer there, but she was very thick around the neck 🙂
Nothing extreme or even close to a "big pike" according to "Sportfiskarna". But for that tiny borderline pond, it is the largest catch during summer in years. Had we caught it at winter she would be a bit more fat 🙂
It very nearly broke my rod tip when she tried to dive under the boat because my friend didn't "work" it correctly, but gladly it didn't.
The funniest part is that he (my friend) got afraid when she surfaced 😄 I had to handle her of course.
I'm sorry for all the untrimmed beard, but I can't find the charger for the trimmer, and I want to leave some ladies for the rest of y'all!
