I finally got rid of my 9′ 5wt Sage One (I could never settle into it) and replacing it boiled down to the Helios 4F and the Air 2. I ultimately chose the Air 2, but the Helios was a close second.

I just finished a guided trip in Montana, this was the rod the guide had. I’ve never been a fan of the looks of it, but Oh Boy does it cast beautifully, I’m converted. Felt delicate when I wanted it, but could bomb out a 60’ cast easy. Best rod I’ve ever cast.
