Beautiful day for a paddle, the fish were biting for the last two hours of the run out tide aswell.
Arrived at the ramp and loaded my little Emotion Comet 8 with my fly gear (a Gillies KG series 8wt with a Sage spectrum c reel, Rio 9wt Bone fish shooter intermediat fly line) and a dry bag of goodies.
I tied on a pink clousser, which I didn't change at all just had to do 1 retie, she was retired to the sea after this sesh poor girl was trashed.
First cab off the rank was a little catty about 300mm, let him free to live his watery bottom dwelling life in peace.
I casted some structure in quite shallow water to try my luck but to no avail.
Paddle teolled over to the island and along the way I felt the familiar tug of the rod, pulled in a nice little spotted mackerel, this one went in the keeper bag.
This got me keen so I fished all around the island trolling up on the fly gear 2 little Jawfish a golden trevaly, which I sillyly didn't take a pic of so it surely didn't happen, and another nice eating mack that went into the bag.
Dropped a few on the paddle back from the island but I was satisfied with my efforts.

cooked the Mack's for dinner. gut and gilled, scored. Filled the score marks with Garlic powder , pepper salt Sage and soy sauce.
oven baked for 20mins at 200c. Ate well. Had a great day and a good feed.
