Creek vs Lake trout

Brookie caught in a small creek and rainbow caught in a small lake.
Look at the difference in the color of flesh! This is my first time having trout side by side with this much of a color difference.
I’ve gotta say before today I thought the more orange/red the fish was, the better it would taste. I honestly couldn’t tell a difference between the two!
Do you guys prefer the deeper colored fish or ever noticed a difference?
