Hey all,

After research and playing with bags in Cabela for an hour – I decided on the highly rated & long running Fishpond Blue River Pack. I took it out for the first time this last week and my only frustration is one of the reasons I leaned towards buying this pack over others….the “zip down fly bench”. I had a huge issue with flies falling off of the fly anchoring pad, laying all over the compartment and losing a couple in the mess.

My question to you all is, am I not using or setting this up right? Has anyone figured out a better way? Any advice? I like the bag and the large amount of space it provides without being bulky, so I’m hesitant on returning it to Cabelas.

I had both pads fully loaded with flies ranging from Chernobyls to small zebra midges. In the same compartment but in one of the sleeves I had bottle of powder floatant and two bottles of liquid floatant that I am assuming could be problematic.

Any and all help, insight or suggestions are welcome!
