Haven’t fished since I was around 10. Bought a rod around a week ago and went to a local park today with some friends. No luck there and headed home after about 2.5 hrs. Stopped at the pond next to my house to see if I could catch something and was expecting a small bluegill. He was definitely over 12 inchs long, how heavy do you think he was?
