I have a 21 Shimano Scorpion DC HG that recently started making this scraping/grinding noise when the spool spins.
I took the reel apart and re-greased all the internal gears and oiled the bearings. This noise is only when reeling and only seems to happen when the reel is dry, as I use it with more casts and the water sprays off the line it quiets down.
Is there something I can do to get it back to being quiet all the time?
