That’s going to depend on your location. Read through the regulations or call your state department of conservation. I haven’t seen anything in Missouri’s regulations prohibiting it.
Seems gimmicky to me though. Never had a problem setting a hook on a bass or catfish and panfish would probably set it off prematurely with their infuriating pecking.
