So I’m looking to pick up fishing atm and want a telescopic rod for canals, rivers and lakes and was wondering if this would be any good
it’s a 2.1 meter for £40 on amazon it doesn’t say how much weight it can pull though and the reviews are mixed

Is there a reason you want a telescoping reel in particular?
Alot of them (Tiger Claw, South Bend, Shakespeare) are very cheaply made. You’ll need to keep the rod oiled pretty regularly or it will start getting stuck and won’t slide in/out easily.
