Hey guys i’ve noticed the last couple bluegill i’ve caught have been quite different in shade, i was wondering if this is due to gender/age/water conditions? it didn’t hit me til i looked at the pics and realized how much darker the other ones were. I caught the darker ones in a pond by my house and i caught the lighter ones at a lake by my moms house. Anyone got any answers? thanks guys

Basically water conditions cause them to go black, also could’ve been spawning season when you caught them.
