First time I bought a Medium Light rod, mainly used jigging for walleye. Got a few uses out of it and snapped the rod taking it out of the truck. It’s a Quantum QX36 5’6” ML, $55 CAD.

  1. Are ML rods inherently more fragile than M rods? Or was it more likely cause it’s a cheap rod?

  2. Is it worth trying to repair this? Will it work as well as before or be prone to breaking again? Any recommendations for repair kits?

I think it broke cause you hit the truck not the rods fault or a ML fault. Heat up existing rod tip take the tip guide off and attach right at break, if it doesnt fit than just get any tip repair kit cause its a $50 rod and no longer as sensitive
