I'm planning on getting a Daiwa Saltist 6000 spooled with 30 lb J-Braid and a Daiwa Saltiga Travel rod 7'4" Medium rated for 30-50 LB braid. I want the setup for my trips to Florida to catch some large snook and tarpon (maybe even use it for stripers at home), but I'm not sure if it would be a strong enough setup for Tarpon.
