I just got an old town sportsman, and I’m babying it right now as I paid a lot for it. How do I get over dragging it and scratching it up?
I had a cheap kayak for the longest which I dragged through everything over 6 years and I have some really deep big gashes on that but even the cheap kayak hasn’t put any holes in it. (It does track worse tho)
I’m afraid to mess up the old town the same way.
Yes I saw Hoovers video about him dragging the kayak 15 miles with little to no actual damage but I drag mine fully loaded on some sharp rocks and boat ramps and the one time I took it out I already scratched the hell out of it. I have a cart that comes today so I’ll try to use that mostly but how do I get the longest life out of my yak? Or how do I get over the worry and just drag that B!tCh and have fun,
