I was wondering what function does the spool tension knob has, since I lost it on my daïwa tatula 100h (pictures provided). Is it imperative to have it, and does it serve other functions other than helping you get less backlashes. And if it is a necessary part, where can I buy one? I’ve try fishing a couple times without it and didn’t felt a difference in casting precision and backlash frequency. Any information on that subject would be welcome! Thank you in advance!
